The short version: TaxByCity does not collect, store, or sell your personal information, full stop.

What we don't collect

We do not require an account, and we do not ask for your name, email, or any identifying detail to use the site. The take-home-pay and property-tax calculators run entirely in your browser — the numbers you type (your income, your home value) are processed locally and are never sent to any server. Close the tab and they're gone.

Cookies & tracking

Core pages use no third-party tracking. Where advertising or affiliate links appear, they are clearly disclosed, and we do not combine their data with anything you've done on the site. Any analytics we run are aggregate and privacy-respecting — we care about things like "which pages are most useful," not "who visited."

Affiliate & advertising disclosure

Some links to outside services (for example, tax-preparation software) may earn us a commission at no cost to you. This never affects what data we show or how we explain it. These links are disclosed where they appear.

Third parties

This site links to official sources — the IRS, the U.S. Census Bureau, the Tax Foundation, and state revenue departments — so you can verify our figures yourself. Those sites have their own privacy policies, which we do not control.
